Visit to Hywind Scotland and Hywind Tampen

In June when we were fortunate enough to host some Japanese stakeholders on a visit to Hywind Scotland and Hywind Tampen to learn more about floating offshore wind.
With the world’s sixth largest sea space, Japan’s long-term potential for offshore wind energy is estimated to be around 600 GW. We want to help make that happen, and it was great to showcase the massive Hywind Tampen turbines which are currently being installed in the North Sea, and share experiences and expertise we’ve built up through our floating offshore wind projects.

The world's largest floating offshore wind farm officially opened
The Hywind Tampen wind farm was opened today by Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. Gullfaks and Snorre are the first oil and gas fields in the world to receive power from offshore wind, reducing CO2 emissions.
